1964 Henderson Bagpipes - SOLD

Beautiful set of Henderon bagpipes built at the end of Henderson’s golden era of pipe making. Still under the guidance of Greg Sharpe these bagpipes have the harmonic bandwidth and volume you would expect out of a set of Henderson from the ‘20s (I can say this because I have a set of Hendersons from the ‘20s that I’ve closely compared them to.) Unlike many vintage bagpipes I’ve seen this bagpipe seems to be unadulterated. I don’t think this pipe has ever seen a lathe since it’s inception. I’ve come to this conclusion based on the numbers from the bores, the bores haven’t been polished, and the reed seats are smaller than expected. The bores run true and the condition of the wood is in very good condition. No cracks or repairs.

For the price, the boom, and the rock steadiness you can’t find a much better vintage pipe than this.
